Twitter is a great source of information!  I recently used it to find out the cause of a traffic jam to decide whether to exit or not…  The following though are twitter accounts you can follow to find out more about college and scholarships.  There are many more too!  I love searching around twitter with variations of words.

1. @ScholarshipsUSA: Great Scholarship Guide posts about scholarship information, scholarship guides, financial aid, and general education-related news.
2. @scholarshipscom: With the tagline, “Find Money for College”
3. @Collegemoneyblg: Tips on paying for college with financial aid, student loans, and scholarships, by College Money Insider.
4. @USNewsEducation: U.S.News & World Report writes about education news and other issues related to college (and publishes this blog).
5. @College_Success: College Success Foundation provides scholarships and support that low-income students need to be successful in college, the workforce, and life.
If you’re interested in studying abroad:
6. @GilmanProgram: The Gilman Scholarship Program offers study abroad scholarships for U.S. undergraduate students who have been traditionally underrepresented in education abroad. Tweets range from scholarship deadlines and tips to peeks at the daily lives of current scholarship recipients who are studying abroad.
7. @FulbrightSchlrs: Follow if you’re interested in news, deadlines, and upcoming information sessions regarding the Fulbright Scholar Program, which is administered by the Institute of International Education’s Council for International Exchange Scholars and sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

9. @cokescholars: Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation is working to provide scholarships and alumni enrichment opportunities for students with a thirst for knowledge and a desire to make a difference in the world, and offers advice and information on its own scholarship and deadlines as well as general financial aid and academic advice.
10. @ScholAmerica. Scholarship America works to mobilize America, through scholarships and educational support, to make postsecondary education possible for all students.ThisTwitter account includes links to this blog, as well as other useful information for students and parents.

Just doing a search for the word scholarship showed information about everything from scholarships for students of parents with ALS to students going into Counseling and much more!  This is a great resource for finding your own funding for college.
