It is amazing the physics that has to be taken into account to make a computer game realistic (even Pong). This particular article appears to be written with the assumption that you know some physics already, and uses some words that aren’t commonplace in everyday language (unless you live in our house, full of science and physics enthusiasts)
Most of the computer languages have physics libraries to make this a little easier. For Example Check out Dark Physics for the Game Creators. Dark Basic is a great language and makes programming easy.
