I just noticed a site named DoughMain. (I saw some reviews by bloggers recently and thought I’d check it out)
Their Mission is:
At DoughMain, we make life easier with a family organizer packed with tools for your busy lives. Recognizing the central role of money – and money smarts – in creating a better future, we also empower kids to become better educated and more confident about money management and financial topics.
On the site, they include a family calendar, chore chart and allowance and reward tools. It lets you link bank accounts to track spending and there are games for kids. I haven’t had a chance to really explore it all yet, but so far it looks good.
I’m linking some related articles that include some reviews plus on Facebook I found some great reviews also. I’m not sure I would link my bank accounts to DoughMain until I have a chance to use it for a while, but skills like budgeting are critical for kids to learn today before they head off to college. Establishing a credit rating is important if you want to do anything from get a mortgage to have a cell phone.
