Homeschool Creations just released a Cowboy Unit.

The Cowboy Early Learning Printables include fun activities to tie in with various western and cowboy themed books ~ vocabulary words, word tracer cards, abc mazes, syllable counting, size sorting and more!
Learning units (or Lap Books) are great for car trips or homeschooling learning units. For cowboys you can even throw in some fun activities like cooking (making chili) and turning the couch into a tent. I know in our area they host rodeos at the local AG building. What a fun field trip.
I love horse back riding so once my little one is older, we will probably incorporate a field trip to go riding.
Laminating these books and using them with dry erase crayons is another great way to use them! The site also includes information about some books that can be included. I love when I can incorporate several different areas into one topic!

I am a SAHM/WAHM of three boys ranging in age from 16 to 32. We are working on saving enough for college at the same time as dealing with school and our older independent kids. I author a few blogs, including http://teched4kids.com. I have in the past taught computer information technology classes for the local university and taught workshops for kid's in technology education besides being the Kentucky State FIRST LEGO League Championship Coordinator from 2005 to 2008. I now work as a computer consultant, run a handmade home business, and am available for workshops. Life here is always an adventure!
